Head north of London for this exciting senior role driving the brand strategy and vision for 2 household name brands, each with a multi-SKU range of healthy-eating products made from high quality, sustainable, planet friendly ingredients. With day-to-day strategic and P&L responsibility, you will lead the strategy to drive brand penetration and engagement, with a clear positive message around healthy living and eating. Your remit encompasses the entire mix – comms strategy, packaging & product development and building a compelling innovation pipeline that drives consumer and shopper attention and interest – leading an agile, highly-motivated, empowered team who share your passion for the challenge and opportunity to make a significant impact upon the business.
We’re looking for someone with exceptional strategic and creative thinking skills; someone who can dig deep and get under the skin of the brands, to drive the core brand equity to new heights, create distinctive and contagious messaging, and launch innovative and compelling new propositions, possibly outside existing categories.
Key responsibilities and skills include:
Proven track record of orchestrating brand magic, and driving large scale growth, preferably in the foodie realm.
Leading, directing and championing brand, communications, portfolio and innovation that ensure volume, revenue and profit growth.
A wizard at strategic thinking and bringing new consumers into brands.
Adding to the capability, systems and processes within the brand leadership function, raising standards in strategic thinking, creativity, product innovation and quality and in-market execution.
A curious mindthat wants to dig deep for insight and turn it into amazing ideas with excellent execution.
Bold and innovative thinking on how to win versus competitors, large and small, and drive continuous improvement in the company’s ways of working.

Are you the right person for this role?
We’re looking for a highly commercial marketeer, with a trackrecord of building FMCG brands, thinking creatively and pushing new ideas and approaches; someone with natural energy, curiosity and passion for their brands, with an instinctive grasp of what excites consumers. This is a role for an entrepreneurial andrigorous thinker with great judgement and self-belief; a leader who sets the tone and enables their team to be at their best producing great work.
Extensive experience across the mix, almost certainly having spents ome time in food & drink, is of course essential, however this role is all about ownership, autonomy and a truly hands-on style. We are keen to talk to people with a blue-chip training, but who may also have worked in smaller, entrepreneurially-driven companies with challenger and/or disruptive brands that have pushed the market forward.
Of course, our client needs financial acumen, and an understanding of profit drivers that maximize returns, but the priority here is your ability to deliver projects using your understanding and judgement rather than having researched an idea to death, or being reliant on multiple agencies to do a big chunk of the work. This is all about what you and your team can deliver working smartly and together.
