Our client is huge player in the desserts category, supplying major retailers, restaurants, cafés and coffee shops across the UK and Europe with both branded and own-label ranges. With ongoing business expansion, it is now looking for a smart, commercially savvy Category & Insights Manager to join the Maidenhead based team, working closely with key customers and the commercial & marketing teams. 🔦 Position Overview
As Category & Insights Manager, you'll be central to driving category performance andsupporting business growth through actionable insights and strategic retail partnerships. You'll analyse consumer, market and shopper data to identify market trends, evaluate category performance and provide intelligence that shapes product launch plans, positioning, promotional strategy and new product development. Working closely with sales, marketing and retailer teams, you'll lead category vision execution, develop strategies to maximise range and availability, and provide the data-driven support that enables informed decision-making across the business.
📒 What you’ll be doing from Day 1
· Analysingretail scan and shopper data to identify trends, category performance gaps and growth opportunities
· Collating and presenting monthly reports and category insight reviews to internal teams and retail partners
· Providing account-specific category data & insights for retailer meetings & category reviews
· Leading category visions with key customers, working with retailer category and merchandising teams
· Developing strategies to maximise product range, availability and shelf positioning
· Advising on NPD trends, product positioning, rate of sale and retail implementation
· Support sales & marketing teams with category insights and competitive analysis
· Recommending promotional strategies and evaluating effectiveness
🌟What we are looking for
· Strong academic background, ideally in business, management, marketing
· Proven experience in Category Management, Customer Marketing, Insight in the UK market
· Extensive experience working with insight data from multiple sources.
· Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to generate actionable insights
· Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills
· Self-motivated, proactive, results-orientated and curious approach to problem-solving
· Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholder groups
